Edward J Wormley

(Oswego, 1907 – Norwalk, 1995)

Edward Wormley’s name is closely linked to the American company Dunbar. He started collaborating with Dunbar in 1931, initially for two furniture product lines, one traditional and one modern. He soon was responsible for modernizing all the company’s furniture product lines, taking inspiration from the latest European innovations. This is how elegant, sophisticated and exceptionally well-made furniture were born, actively combining classic design elements with unprecedented structural innovations.
