Parchment and embossed copper, mother-of-pearl inlaid decorations
Designed by Carlo Bugatti around 1900, this rare vintage mirror reflects the designer’s unmistakable aesthetic language. Executed in parchement covered wood, partially painted and enriched with repoussé brass and embossed copper elements, the piece is further animated by delicate mother-of-pearl inlaid decorations. The mirrored surface is framed by birch structural elements, while the integrated drawer extends Bugatti’s highly ornamental vocabulary. Signed by the designer, the mirror reflects Bugatti’s visionary approach, where precious materials, refined textures, and meticulous craftsmanship converge to transform a utilitarian object into a striking decorative statement.
