Designed by George Nakashima, this vintage chest of drawers was crafted in Takamatsu, Japan, in the 1980s and bears the designer’s signature. This exceptionally rare specimen stems from Nakashima’s collaboration with the master woodworker Sakura and is therefore regarded as part of his Japanese production. An emblem of Nakashima’s timeless design philosophy, the piece embodies a refined approach to woodworking, concentrating a high level of craftsmanship in details such as the spherical handles and the crossed central joint supporting the entire structure.
