Solid bronze
Designed by Filippo Carandini and realized in collaboration with Fonderia Artistica Campagner, the Kalym coffee table is entirely hand-crafted in sand-cast bronze and finished in a rich black patina. Two polished bronze edges trace the perimeter of the top, creating subtle lines of light that contrast with the coarse, hand-textured surface. The texture is achieved through hand-applied plaster strokes, a gesture that echoes the painterly language of other pieces in the collection. Named Kalym, from the ancient Greek word for cover or veil, the table explores contrasts of concealment and reveal, matte and shine, shadow and light.
