Stoneware with “bianco Zauli” glaze
Produced in Italy in 1967, this Shape sculpture is part of the early phase of Carlo Zauli’s career, a period focused on his exploration of shape and form. His work is characterized by a continuous evolution and metamorphosis, driven by an ongoing exploration of nature’s forms and their relationship with humanity. During this early phase, Zauli experimented with various techniques, developing a unique color known as “bianco Zauli.” This distinctive tone was the result of an innovative firing process, where stoneware was heated to 1200 degrees, giving it a fresh, characteristic quality.
