Solid bronze
Designed by Filippo Carandini and crafted in collaboration with Fonderia Artistica Campagner, the Cernos valet stand emphasizes form, material, and sculptural presence. Named after the ancient Greek word for “horns,” it features a rectangular base from which two vertical, hand-textured stems rise to embrace a solid horizontal element at the top. Polished to a smooth shine, the piece arches gently in a wide C shape, extending slightly beyond the width of the stems and aligning with the base. The empty rectangular space formed between base, stems, and arched form creates a measured void, giving the piece a sculptural, altar-like character. The contrast between the coarse texture of the stems and the polished bronze of the base and top accentuates the materiality and the tension between weight and elevation, celebrating the artisanal craft of the bronze.
