Named after the distinctive shape of its legs, the Zig Zag armchair was designed by Giancarlo Palanti as part of Estúdio de Arte Palma, alongside Lina Bo Bardi, between 1949 and 1950 in Brazil. Originally displayed in the foyer of the Teatro Cultura Artística, São Paulo, this rare vintage piece exemplifies the studio’s commitment to combining modernist design principles with Brazilian materials and craftsmanship. The identification of the chair was made possible with the support of the Instituto Bardi | Casa de Vidro.
