NILUFAR - COLLECTION - CHINESE CARPET - CARPET CHROMOSOME-P

Carpet Chromosome-P

Description

Chromosome P. collection

Tibet, 2013

150 Knots/sqin woll carpet, natural dye

The carpets from the Chromosome-P series might recall distant planets, galaxies, and nebulae. Their intricate patterns, instead, reproduce lab plates used for cytogenetic exams, the study of chromosomes in cells. The essential blueprint that shapes our physical existence.
