Designed by Filippo Carandini, the Zafir dining table draws inspiration from the enduring spirit of Berber craftsmanship, where the depth of ebony meets the luminous presence of silver. Named after “Zafir,” a word of Arabic and Persian origin meaning “sapphire” or “brilliance,” the piece reflects a dialogue between material contrast, quiet ritual, and the passage of time. Polished silver rings punctuate the base with a sense of rhythm and structure, enhancing the tactile, handcrafted quality of the design. The dark intensity of the wood is set against the soft radiance of hand-hammered metal, its surface capturing and reflecting light in delicate, ever-evolving nuances.
