DESIGNER

Georges Mohasseb

Georges Mohasseb is a designer and architect whose work explores the intersection of functional art, natural inspiration, and artisanal craftsmanship through Studio Manda. Holding a Master’s degree in Architecture and Design from the Catholic University of America, he began his professional journey by opening his first practice in 1998.

His early career led him to Washington, D.C. in the early 2000s, where he expanded his creative approach and engaged with a diverse design environment. He later continued his studies at the renowned École Boulle in Paris, refining his understanding of craftsmanship and material exploration.

In 2008, he opened a practice in Paris, and in 2011 he relocated to Beirut, where he continues to lead Studio Manda and develop collectible design pieces that bridge art, design, and material experimentation.

Over the years, Studio Manda’s work has been showcased in numerous international exhibitions and galleries, reflecting a growing global recognition of its distinctive approach to functional sculpture. The studio’s creations have been presented at Nomad Venice with Carwan Gallery, Galerie Gabriel & Guillaume in New York for Salon, Galerie Gosserez at PAD Paris, and Collect at the House of Fly in London.

Additional presentations include Nomad Monaco and St. Moritz with Carwan Gallery, House of Today in Beirut, the London Biennale, and PAD Paris and London. Across these platforms, the studio’s work consistently highlights the dialogue between nature, materiality, and contemporary design.
