Aiko Hachisuka

Aiko Hachisuka (b. 1974) is a Japanese artist known for transforming found fabric and clothing into soft sculptures that abstractly reference the human body. She stitches garments together, stuffs them with foam, and sometimes integrates them with furniture, altering their form. Using materials from garage sales or her own worn clothes, Hachisuka also incorporates printmaking techniques, creating silkscreened works with vibrant colors and folded fabric impressions.
