Angelo Lelii

A designer and entrepreneur, he was born in Ancona in 1915. He moved to Monza where, starting from a small workshop, he produced lamps and chandeliers of innovative design. In 1943 he founded Arredoluce, destined to become one of the most famous Italian design companies in the world. In 1947 he presented the 12128 lamp at the VIII Triennale in Milan, achieving great success that guaranteed him important collaborations with designers of the calibre of Gio Ponti, Ettore Sottsass, Nanda Vigo and Achille and Piergiacomo Castiglioni. Aluminium, Plexiglas, brass and glass are the materials he uses to create his luminous, ingenious yet elegant works of art.
