Giovanni Gariboldi

Giovanni Gariboldi (1908–1971) was a key figure in Italian decorative arts. Starting his career at 18 as an apprentice under Gio Ponti, he later became Artistic Director of Ginori 1735. There, he redefined porcelain design, blending aesthetics with functionality and modern needs.
Gariboldi’s work combined beauty and utility, shaping a new approach to porcelain. His designs, created over five decades, left a lasting impact on modernism and Italian decorative arts, bridging the past with the future.
