Ico Parisi

An architect, designer and photographer, he was born in Palermo and then moved to Como, where he did an apprenticeship at the Terragni studio. He frequented Como architecture and art personalities such as Cattaneo, Lingeri, Radice, Rho, Persico and Sartoris. In 1948, he founded the La ruota studio with his wife Luisa Aiani, a designer and planner, from whose intense design activity furniture, exhibition layouts and interior architecture were born. He collaborated with craftsmen and large serial production companies such as Cassina and participated in the major design exhibitions of the time, winning the Gold Medal at the 10th Milan Triennale in 1954.
