Architect and designer, Ignazio Gardella was born on 30 March 1905 in Milan, where he graduated in Engineering in 1930 and then obtained a degree in Architecture at the IUAV in Venice in 1949. From the beginning of his long and prolific career he adhered to Rationalism. He took part the Italian architectural and urban planning scene as a protagonist, becoming one of the architects of the changes taking place in the world of design and architecture.
