DESIGNER
Irene Goldberg

Born in Venezuela in 1970, Goldberg moved to Israel in 1983. A graduate of the Mackintosh School of Architecture in Glasgow in 1997, Goldberg believes there are no boundaries between sculpting architecture and sculpting objects. For her, design is small-scale, functional architecture. When creating pieces for galleries and companies, Goldberg looks to a design vernacular that pushes the boundaries of technology and aesthetics. In 2017, Goldberg co-founded Baranowitz & Goldberg Architects, a studio with experience in different fields of design that permit it to create projects of varying scales. Their work is characterized by a playful balance between art and design while adhering to strict yet poetic principles of proportion.
