DESIGNER
Lukas Wegwerth

Born in 1984 in Ilbeshausen (Germany), he studied at the Universität der Künste in Berlin, where he currently lives and works as a product designer. His research focuses on the intersection of handcrafted objects and engineered modular structures. By altering the natural processes of their creation, his designs explore the possibility of an object acquiring new meanings over time. In his designs he references the precedents of Carlo Mollino, Jerszy Seymour and Dagobert Peche. His works have been acquired by private and public collections worldwide, including the National Gallery of Victoria in Australia.
