Italian-born designer Martino Gamper began his career as an apprentice for a furniture maker in his native South Tyrol before studying sculpture under Michelangelo Pistoletto at the academy of fine arts in Vienna. Today, the London-based Gamper designs for leading furniture brands, creates one-off commissions and is active in exhibition design, including his 2009 “stanze e camere” show at the Triennale in Milan.
