Melchiorre Bega

Trained in Architecture at the Academy in Bologna, he began his professional career in the 1920s. A designer of furniture and interiors, he was the owner of a well-established craftsman’s business, which spread the Modern Style in Italy and throughout the world. A leading exponent of Rationalist architecture, he was active in the editorial field and was editor of Domus for a period. In the post-war period, he was mainly involved in architectural and urban planning and headed the school of architecture at the Bologna Academy.
