Founded in 1921 by brothers Jorge and Martin Zipperer in Rio Negrinho, by mid-century Móveis Cimo became Brazil’s most prolific furniture company. Initially active only in the production of chairs, it quickly expanded its repertoire to include furniture of all kinds. Characterised by high functionality and quality materials, today Móveis Cimo’s furniture is collected all over the world as masterful examples of modern Brazilian design. The company ceased operations in the mid-1980s.
