Vibeke Klint

Danish textile artist Vibeke Klint (born in 1927) has long been recognized as a prominent figure in the field of applied arts and design in mid-20th-century Denmark. Her work is characterized by her choice of bold colors and an unrelenting dedication to selecting patterns. By founding a school and a working methodology, she was able to strongly influence each student trained in her workshop, thanks also to her strong personality. Klint’s work has been exhibited in several important museums, such as the Danish Museum of Art & Design in Copenhagen and the National Museum of Women in the Arts in Washington.
