In the 1950s, brothers Piero, Giorgio, and Gianfranco Di Pierri founded a studio in Rome specializing in landscape gardening, park restoration, and landscaping. By the late 1960s, Vivai del Sud expanded into integrated architecture, design, and furniture production, with factories in Italy, Senegal, Brazil, and the Philippines. Known for their innovative garden and terrace designs, they soon made their mark internationally, from New York to the Arab Emirates, becoming icons of the nouvelle vague.
