Cabinet Luna
A graduate of Central Saint Martins, milan-based designer Filippo Carandini has previously worked as an art director at Baleri italia and Palomba Serafini Associati. In 2011, Carandini started his own studio with a focus on interior design and his furniture emphasizes bold color schemes, rich textures and subtle artistic references.
Part of the New Pompeii furniture series, the chromatic component comes to the fore in the Luna armoire. Made of wood and hand-painted by the designer, the cabinet is decorated in a vivid palette of acrylic colors that have been applied in layers and completed with a high-gloss finish to produce a rich patina. The piece is topped off with a round handle and feet in handmade cast aluminum.
