Dining table Mensa
A graduate of Central Saint Martins, milan-based designer Filippo Carandini has previously worked as an art director at Baleri italia and Palomba Serafini Associati. In 2011, Carandini started his own studio with a focus on interior design and his furniture emphasizes bold color schemes, rich textures and subtle artistic references.
The functional aspect of this dining table takes a step back to focus attention on the stunning decorative element. Part of the New Pompeii furniture series, the wood structure is highlighted by a super sleek tabletop in a gorgeous color blocking motif. Variations of the same color are painted by the designer over each other by hand and the piece is topped off by a high-gloss finish.
