HALL & LOUNGE

Where the Journey Begins — Lobby and Lounge Reimagined by Nina Yashar

18 Apr 2026

At Nilufar Grand Hotel, a sculptural lobby of light and texture flows into a layered lounge where vintage design and artisanal pieces create a rich, immersive dialogue.

The journey at Nilufar Grand Hotel begins in the reception and lounge area, introducing the atmosphere of hospitality that defines the exhibition. At its center, a sculptural reception desk by Lola Montes combines hand-modeled ceramic magnolia blossoms, volcanic materials and vivid chromatic contrasts, while the monumental vintage Calla chandelier creates a soft and immersive lightscape.

In the main atrium, the lounge unfolds as a social environment where furniture, lighting and textiles encourage gathering and interaction. Zakuro extile installations by Marco Mastroianni and Giovanni Iacono introduce decorative richness inspired by Japanese aesthetics and imagined botanical landscapes, while the Arecaceae ceiling lamps by Christian Pellizzari reinterpret the geometry of palm trees through Murano glass.

Vintage American pieces by James Mont, Paul Lázló and Grosfeld House bring historical depth to the space, enriched with textiles by Lelièvre Paris. In dialogue with these works, contemporary creations by Vikram Goyal, Nao Matsunaga and Filippo Carandini explore craftsmanship through bronze, ceramics and hand-painted surfaces.

The space is completed by carpets from CC-Tapis, creating a layered environment where historical and contemporary works coexist, transforming hospitality into an immersive and evolving experience.
