Inspired by a classic seating solution found in Lebanese residences of the past, the Chaise Maurice armchair evokes a bygone era through its refined lines and timeless charm. Although it remains a familiar piece in Lebanon, it is slowly fading from collective memory. The armchair’s intriguing mechanics, particularly how the backrest adapts seamlessly to various seating positions, make it a design worth revisiting. The result is a carefully crafted composition that intertwines different elements with brass accents and solid walnut wood details, giving the piece a nostalgic character. This reinterpretation pays homage to the original design while demonstrating how its enduring elegance can continue to enhance contemporary living.
