Description

Greece, 2021

Various glazes, stoneware

Epismaltosi explores the gesture of a hand molding clay into organic vessels. Experimenting with additions, complex intertwinements, multiple glazing, and firing, Anestis Michalis overcomes canonized forms of ceramic, opening its practice to new possibilities both as a constructive and a narrative experience.
