Manufactured by Altamira in the late 1940s and early 1950s, this bookshelf is a prime example of Gio Ponti’s extensive contributions to public spaces and interiors. Featuring distinctive wood motifs and multiple parallel shelves, its design achieves a harmonious balance both striking and elegant. Ponti believed that design transcended mere functionality, seeking to harmonize form, creativity, beauty and efficiency.
