Luce lampade 1968-1973. Il nuovo design italiano, foto 102 di Fulvio e Napoleone Ferrari, ed. Allemandi; immagine n.88 in Casa Vogue settembre 1973; in Domus novembre 1973

Exhibited at the Salone del Mobile in Milan 1971

Named after the Italian word for 'bridge', the Ponte lamp was designed in 1971 by Studio A.R.D.I.T.I. for Sormani. Its distinctive design blends white marble, chrome-plated brass, and black and translucent Lexan globes into a composition that feels both architectural and otherworldly. Born from Florence’s radical counter-design movement, it rejects decorative excess in favor of sharp, sculptural clarity. Rare, uncompromising, and unmistakably Italian.
