Martino Gamper’s designs for Manifesta 7, the European Biennial of Contemporary Art at Fortezza/Franzensfeste, Bolzano, 2008, were crafted specifically for the unique architectural context of the fortress. Drawing inspiration from the site’s history and space, Gamper created a series of functional, yet sculptural pieces that blend contemporary design with the fortress's historic atmosphere. The furniture pieces, which include custom-designed tables, chairs, and seating elements, were intended to activate the space while maintaining a dialogue between art, architecture, and design.
