Iconic and sculptural, the Chiara lamp, designed by Mario Bellini in 1969, is crafted from a single sheet of stainless steel, cut, rolled, and riveted, resembling a Japanese origami. Its structure conceals the light source at the base, while the large shade diffuses light, evoking a nun’s veil—an homage to Saint Clare of Assisi, the lamp’s namesake.
