Hand knotted, polychrome wool, natural dyes, The drawing represents a human DNA mapping following a chromatic concept
Caturegli and Formica approach a mysteric-scientific dimension of carpets, interpreting them as deep genetic diagrams or the memory of faraway superficial tracks (villages, or tires). Their carpets reflect on the permanence of decorative motifs within the diagrams that reveal the logic of nature, science and technology. The drawing on the Umadina carpet represents a human DNA mapping following a chromatic concept.
