We asked several photographers to interact with iconic designers and interpret them from their perspective. Design and photography communicate; design pieces come to new life offering new perspectives of gaze.
What is observed in these images is a dialogue, a meeting of two expressive languages: that of the photographer Sara Scanderebech and the designer and artist Audrey Large. But it's more than that. It's a realm where photography and sculpture converge, where reality and the digital realm intersect, where representation blends with abstraction, and where mimesis dances with illusion.
These images challenge our perception of Large's sculptures. Scanderebech, in her distinctive style, transforms these tangible elements into the protagonists of abstract and painterly compositions. She interprets the works as ever-changing brushstrokes of color that push the boundaries between representation and abstraction to the extreme.
This dynamic emerges from a shared philosophy between the two creators: for both, the distinction between the real and the digital is a matter of little relevance, an anachronistic division. This conceptual transcendence reflects our modern era, where matter, whether organic or composed of pixels, is viewed as a neutral and malleable substance in constant evolution, brimming with potential.
