Following the success of previous editions in Paris, Beirut and Milan, the new edition of SQUAT had opened to the public in 2016. To launch the inaugural London edition, Nilufar Gallery owner Nina Yashar has teamed up with Shalini Misra and Mehves Ariburnu, Director and Creative Advisor at Shalini Misra Ltd respectively.
Founded in 2012 by Nina Yashar, SQUAT explores a new concept of exhibition. The ongoing project takes place in different locations and platforms and plays with diverse cultural, geographical and architectural environments. SQUAT London presents unique design pieces from Nilufar Gallery’s collection along with a selection of remarkable artworks, transforming one of Shalini Misra’s development projects - a 230 sqm Victorian lateral corner residence located in the heart of Mayfair - into a high-concept decorative living space.

I like changes and challenges, which is why I decided to bring SQUAT to different cities around the world. What drives me is a genuine passion for beauty and the desire to conceive creative projects that incorporate different worlds."
