Italy, 1970
Metal frame, glass top.
Elegance and functionality merge in this desk set, produced in Italy around the mid-1970s embodying the essential aesthetic of the era. The tubular metal frame supports a sleek glass top, achieving a perfect balance between solidity and lightness. The swivel chair, featuring a metal structure and PVC seat, blends comfort with minimalist aesthetics. The combination of materials with metal is intentional. PVC and glass, while both transparent, offer distinct impact resistance and ductility, creating complementary material possibilities in this design. A remarkable example of Marzio Cecchi’s design vision, where functionality and material experimentation create refined and timeless forms.
