Immortalising the ephemeral beauty of nature, the Bagh mirror draws inspiration from India’s historic gardens — where water, flora, and architecture existed to complement the other, and invoke harmony with the self. From the terraced hill gardens of Kashmir to the palace courtyards of Rajasthan, these sanctuaries offered shade and scent, symmetry and stillness. Branching, vine-like bases — shaped through a combination of freeform casting and sheet metal — evoke the organic asymmetry of petals and leaves, its meandering movement held still in time. While abstracted and contemporised, Bagh retains the intricate elegance that defines the Studio’s visual language. Here, metal becomes a medium between the impermanent and the permanent — its solidity preserving the memory of the natural world.
