The Artichokes candleholders embody “la castratura”: one has to sacrifice the first artichoke for others to grow. A metaphor for love, vulnerability, and sacrifice, the series features artichokes with single or double offspring in triplets and in quadruplets. Like buds sprouting from the same root, they bloom in vibrant, polychromatic colors. Each piece is unique and completely handcrafted in Sicily.
