Aphanès is a collection of sculptural marble furniture designed by Roberto Sironi in dialogue with Italian marble specialist Palmalisa Zantedeschi. Drawing inspiration from megalithits and prehistoric dolmen, Aphanès deploys the simplicity of architectural archetypes to expose the richness of the material. At the heart of the project lies a reverence for marble. With their sophisticated patterns and colours, the two variety were extracted from an extremely limited and rare reserve. Their vibrant, kaleidoscopic surface contrast with the minimalist lines of the pieces. Aphanès, therefore, evokes a sacred aura, while celebrating the timeless beauty and craftsmanship of Italian marble furniture.
