Designed by Lina Bo Bardi in the 1960s for the Espírito Santo do Cerrado Church and Santa Maria dos Anjos, this rare set of church seatings reflects the architect’s vision of a socially engaged modernism in Brazil. Responding to the spiritual and communal needs of local congregations, the designs harmonize simplicity, functional clarity, and the use of regional materials. Original drawings are preserved at the Instituto Bardi | Casa de Vidro, São Paulo, whose support facilitated the correct identification of these pieces.
