Designed in 1999 and produced in 2017, the Totem bookshelf explores the psycho-social dimensions of furniture design. Part of the Corner series, it focuses on corners, examining the range of emotions evoked by the simple right-angled boundary. Beyond their geometric definition, corners can be spaces of safety and tranquility, offering a retreat for personal reflection and memories. Yet, they can also feel claustrophobic or isolating.
