Nilufar arrives on the Venice Lido through a new collaboration with the Giovanni Nicelli private airport. To celebrate the partnership, Nina Yashar curates an exhibition in the airport’s elegant 1920s hall, coinciding with the Biennale Arte 2022. The show brings together historic design works and contemporary pieces by leading avant-garde artists, including Gio Ponti, Franco Albini, Ignazio Moncada, BBPR, Pietro Consagra, Angelo Lelii, Joaquim Tenreiro, Martino Gamper, Bethan Laura Wood and Andrea Mancuso.

Nilufar also presents Constructed Realities: Life Beyond Borders, the first European solo exhibition of Sin Ying Cassandra Ho, co-curated with ArtHub and staged at “Spazio Esso,” the airport’s former fuel station.

With this project, Nilufar joins the legacy of Giovanni Nicelli Airport—Italy’s oldest commercial airport and an architectural jewel of the 1920s.
