Osanna Visconti studied at the Accademia della moda e del gioiello and apprenticed under the goldsmith Teresa Schwendt in Rome. In recent years, the milan-based Visconti has focused on objects and furnishings in bronze that are made by employing the traditional lost-wax casting process.
The oval-shaped carpet utilizes a simple, graphic motif of fallen foliage set against a sober background. Made of hand-tufted wool, the pictorial design allows the rug to serve as a prominent centerpiece in the living room.
