The design reproduces a collection of random data emitted by 19 different sources scattered across the planet, during a span of 24 hours.
Global Consciousness is an international project based in Princeton, involving collaboration of scientists, engineers, artists and other figures from all over the world.
The enormous quantity of data is continuously gathered by a network of machines located in 65 sites. The aim is to examine the possible correlations that may point to a form of activity of worldwide consciousness. It has been observed, for example, that purely random structures are modifed at the time of events of worldwide relevance.
