Nilufar is glad to present the second act of ‘Reoertorio’ for Milan Design Week 2025: ‘Amber Echoes’, an exhibition set in an intimate space, right adjacent to the main floor of the Depot. Designed to create a warm, inviting atmosphere, the installation evokes stories that transcend time and cultures. Featuring an impressive selection of works by renowned artist Christian Pellizzari, Shlomo Harush, and a curated collection of vintage masterpieces, ‘Amber Echoes’ offers a contemplative exploration of art, nature, and the human psyche.

At the heart of ‘Amber Echoes’ is Pellizzari’s evocative ‘Rye Ergot’, a series of Murano glass sculptures inspired by the enigmatic rye plant, long associated with folklore and mysticism, know for its hallucinogenic proprerties, this plant has played a role in historical narratives of visions and spiritual awakenings. Through this selection of delicate, ethereal glass pieces, Pellizzari explores the intersections between art, transcendence, and altered states of consciusness. The sculptures, floating and suspended from above, evoke dreamlike visions, transporting visitors on a sensory journey that challenges conventions and invites reflection on the fragility of the human mind and the transformative power of art.

Alongside Pellizzari’s glassworks, a curated selection of Harush’s pieces established a striking dialogue between everyday objects and art, featuring sculptures crafted from copper and brass alloys. Highlights include works from the ‘Please Do Not Sit’ exhibition, first presented last November at Nilufar’s via della Spiga. Harush’s multidisciplinary process—spanning sculpture, drawing, and functional design—introduces a new dimension to the exhibition, encouraging tactile engagement. His work celebrates the dynamic relationship between material and thought, transforming raw metal into ever-shifting forms that respond to light, offering infinite perspectives and reflections.

Vintage pieces by iconic designers Willy Rizzo, Zanine Caldas, Giuseppe Scapinelli, Gabriella Crespi, Karl Springer, James Mont, and Maria Pergay further enrich the exhibit. The curated selection by Nina Yashar, which includes sofas, table lamps, and paravents, seamlessly blends timeless design with the contemporary explorations of Pellizzari and Harush—an essential characteristic that defines both Nilufar and Yashar’s curatorial vision.
