Stool Scarpette
Founded by italian-danish design duo Letizia Caramia and Morten Thuesen in 2013, Older is a multidisciplinary design practice known for its furniture projects and eco-friendly uniforms for the service industry. Based in Milan, the studio has worked with brands across a host of industries and its clients include Loro Piana, galeries Lafayette and the Tate Modern.
The Scarpette series is composed of a low table in solid ash and a stool in poplar plywood that both feature distinctive legs that call to mind industrial-type feet – hence the name scarpette, which in Italian means “little shoes.” The curious detail adds an element of fun to the design.
