The selection of furniture presented by Nilufar at Design Miami/Basel 2018 features a variety of aesthetics blending into one another while evidently reflecting Nina Yashar’s long term research on vintage Brazilian design as well as the gallery renowned expertise for historic Italian design which keeps deepening in parallel to the keen attention for contemporary projects.

Bold colours and dynamic lines – characterizing precious armchairs by Jorge Zalszupin and contemporary room dividers by Martino Gamper up to the seatings designed by Augusto Bozzi in the ’50s and the “Crosette” floor lamp by Michael Anastassiades – encounter neat yet expressive silhouettes – among the armchairs by Geraldo de Barros, the “Zig Zag” lounge chairs by Estúdio de Arte Palma: LBB and Palanti, the “Proposal” bookcases by Vittorio Introini and an important sideboard by Jorge Zalszupin – audacious shapes – chasing across the “Minareto” sculpture by Ettore Sottsass, the “Tre bracci” floor lamp by Gino Sarfatti and the poligonal table by Joaquim Tenreiro. Framing the set are a Spättan carpet by Barbro Nilsson and two handwoven metallic carpets by colombian atelier Hechizoo.
