NILUFAR GRAND HOTEL

From 20 To 26 Apr 2026

On the occasion of Milan Design Week 2026, Nilufar presents Nilufar Grand Hotel, an immersive exhibition staged within Nilufar Depot that reimagines hospitality through collectible design. Conceived by Nina Yashar, the project brings together contemporary and vintage works alongside new pieces from Nilufar Edition, where experimental design meets exceptional craftsmanship.

Imagined as a timeless luxury hotel, the exhibition transforms objects into the true protagonists of a fictional yet familiar environment where different aesthetic languages coexist in dialogue. The journey unfolds through hall and lounge spaces designed for gathering and exchange, signature bedrooms by david/nicolas, Filippo Carandini and Allegra Hicks, as well as intimate dining room and fumoir featuring works by Gal Gaon and Derin Beren Yalcin.

The first floor unfolds as a series of intimate gallery-like rooms dedicated to collectible design, presenting new works by Georges Mohasseb, VON PELT Atelier and Maximilian Marchesani. Highlights include the Deconstructed Bourgeoisie lamps, created from salvaged silverware, and the Carbon Cycles collection, which explores the relationship between nature and technology through experimental materials.

The spaces also feature works by Tipstudio, Alexander May, Objects of Common Interest and Etereo, alongside vintage pieces by Edward J. Wormley and Giuseppe Scapinelli. Murano glass lamps by Lucia Massari and paintings by Rebecca Moses create a vibrant dialogue between art and design.

A contemplative room inspired by Japanese ryokan concludes the journey, combining tatami floors with rare vintage furniture by Gabriella Crespi, Ingo Maurer and George Nakashima, inviting visitors into a quieter and more meditative atmosphere.

The second floor continues the exhibition journey through jewel-like rooms enriched with textiles by Lelièvre Paris, where vintage and contemporary works coexist in dialogue. Highlights include the Sgraffito table by Andrea Mancuso in Nero Marquinia marble, created with Del Savio 1910, alongside a rare seat by Carlo Bugatti and vintage pieces by Gio Ponti, Joaquim Tenreiro and Sergio Rodrigues. Contemporary creations by Audrey Large and Osanna Visconti further emphasize the dialogue between memory and innovation.

The journey concludes in the Penthouse Suite, an eclectic environment featuring new works by Bethan Laura Wood and the debut of architect Rooshad Shroff. The space includes new interpretations of the Meisen line, a mirror created with Venetian glass masters Barbini, and pieces from the Ornate collection.

Integral to the exhibition, the Nilufar Depot’s outdoor courtyard hosts Andrea Mancuso’s latest creations from the Punteggiato collection—a small, inviting dehors that evokes holiday imagery and offers a pause from the pace of the city.
