Carl Malmsten
(Stoccolma, 1882 – Öland, 1972)
Considered an anti-modernist, the architect and designer Carl Malmsten lined up the value of traditional Swedish craftsmanship against a boring and rigorous functionality. A great attention to detail, a meticulous creative process and an in-depth knowledge of the material allowed him to quickly become a reference point for Swedish design, while obtaining prestigious, both private and public, commissions.
