Johan Viladrich
“The pieces I design are to be considered as proposals and principles rather than static objects.”
In Johan Viladrich’s works each material is worked in order to express its purest forms and each structure is reduced to an absolute minimum. He uses the mass of metals such as bronze, steel or copper to create radical structures in which all superfluous elements have disappeared, and he attaches as much importance to the final appearance of the pieces as to the mechanisms making them exist.
