Ingo Maurer

German designer and entrepreneur (1932-2019). His research focused on lighting fixtures, interpreted as poetic objects capable of creating suggestions through the emotional involvement of the user. A designer and manufacturer of his own lamps, Maurer combined formal research with constant typological innovation, achieved through experimentation with new materials and optical mechanisms.
